Auckland: Konkani Drama “Dubau” by Agnelo Mascarenhas to be staged on 19 October

Auckland, 24 Sep 2013: “Dubau”, the eighth drama of Agnelo Mascarenhas will be staged on 19th October 2013 at 6.30 pm in Freeman’s Bay Community Hall in Auckland. Agnelo and his troupe are all set to entertain and look forward to seeing you there. The show is nearly sold out.

Hailing from Majorda, Goa, a little village in India and fondly known as “Shanu”, Agnelo’s passion for drama and acting since he was 7 years old has not stopped till today. After having entertained audiences in Muscat for 17 years, Agnelo continues to entertain the Konkani community in Auckland, New Zealand. A man of many talents, he also conducts Magic shows and is a well known figure at local events.
Agnelo has had the privilege of acting with several directors and writers from Goa, to name a few, Menin De Bandar, Betty Naz, M. Boyer, William deCoutorim, Jancit Vaz, Alfred Rose and Rita Rose including Mangalorian artist such as late Mic Max and late Wilfy Rebimbus. Agnelo also directed his own dramas in Goa, Muscat, Oman and now in Auckland, New Zealand.
The upcoming drama held once in a year in Auckland has created a great frenzy in the Konkani community with everyone looking forward for the great day. Agnelo enjoys huge popularity having successfully completed seven productions so far.
