The students and teachers of the Vidyaniketan Group of Educational Institutions of Kaup organised “No Plastric” awareness campaign as part of the Independence Day celebration of Sunday, 15 August 2010. K.P Acharya, Director of the Vidyaniketan Group of educational Institutions flagged off the procession of the ‘No Plastic’ campaign from the school which went up to the Kaup town, where the students and teachers demonstrated the adverse effects of using plastic through handbills and street plays.
“The legal and medical professions are quite different from other professions”, said the retired Advocate general-Belapu Vasudeva Acharya who has been appointed as the member of the National Law Commission. Adv. B.V. Acharya was speaking at the function organised by the Kaup Rotary Club to felicitate him on being appointed as the member of the National Law Commission. Adv. B.V. Acharya has put in 53 years of service as a lawyer.
The Kaup Rotary Club organised Rangoli competition on the occasion of the Independence Day, 15 August 2010 at Mahadevi High School, Kaup.
The Shankerpura Jaaji Mallige was very much in demand on the Nagara Panchami day as the flower was sold at the rate of Rs.200 to 300 per ‘atti’.
Due to the loss of control of the driver a tempo met with an accident on NH-17 near the Katapdi petrol pump.

No plastic awareness campaign should reach every home of our country.Plastic has become a devil in the making. Government can enact some law to ban the production of plastic bags to save the environement from its menance.Otherwise,awareness camapaigns have no meaning. |
