Karkal: Kanajar Parish offers assistance to Renovate Local Temple ravaged in Heavy Rains

Karkal, 7 Aug 2013:  The office bearers of Our Lady of Lourdes parish council, Kanajar led by parish priest Fr John Mendonca on Sunday August 4, paid a courtesy visit to Brahmalingeshwar temple in the vicinity, which was damaged owing to torrential rains recently.

Fr John was accompanied by parish council vice president Ignatius D’Souza, finance Committee member Ivan Miranda met the temple managing trustee Sudhir Hegde and the temple priest on the occasion.

 

The damage is estimated to be about Rs 10 lac.

The group discussed about the plans for the renovation of the damaged temple and its vicinity. The parish priest proposed to offer assistance for the renovation. The temple managing trustee thanked heartily for the courtesy visit and expressed his happiness over the concern shown by the church.
