M’lore: ’IMPERIALZ CUP–2013’ cricket tourney on May 11 & 12

Mangalore, 10 May 2013: Team Imperialz (R.) on the occasion of their third year anniversary proudly organizes “IMPERIALZ CUP – 2013”, Cricket Tournament conducted for parishes of Mangalore and Udupi Diocese for boys less than 25 years of age. Imperialz Cup is being organized for the past two years in the month of May to get the youth of different parishes under a single roof to exhibit their talents in the form of a sport.

The third edition of Imperialz Cup is all set to be hosted at the College of Fisheries Grounds, Yekkur on the 11th and 12th of May, Saturday and Sunday respectively. 20 different teams from all over the city will take part in the tournament. The tournament has a special charm with all the ICC rules being followed. Professional Umpires will officiate the matches. Parishes such as Derebail, Angelore, Vamanjoor, Bondel, Kuloor, Shirva, Bejai, Cascia, Ferar, Valencia and others will play in this year’s tournament.

 

 

 

All the matches will be of five overs and the matches will run along for two days. The Finals of the tournament will be played on Sunday at 4.00 p.m and the winners will take away Rs.11,000/- and the winner’s trophy. Lots of attractive prizes are there to be won by the competitors. The first edition of Imperialz Cup was held at St. Aloysius Centenary Grounds, where Nirmarga were the winners, and the second edition was won by Derebail parish.

Team Imperialz is a new concept, providing a new dimension for Art, Music, Social Service and Sports in Mangalore. The Team, hailing from Mangalore, has already captured talents from all over Mangalore. Gaining confidence and support, the Team marched forward, renewing its spirit and strength year after year. The Team has been undertaking several other worthy projects such as conducting events, trekking and rescue operations to give an adventurous dimension to life of the youngsters.
