Grand Celebration of 19th Anniversary of Billawara Balaga Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi,6 May 2013:  The association of Billawas in Abu Dhabi celebrated their 19th anniversary with loads of cultural events and fun-filled activities, dances and comedy skits.  The grand celebration took place at the Al Dhafra Hareb Hall, Mina Road – Abu Dhabi on 3rd May 2013.

 

The event began at 11.30 am with a prayer by Jyothi Kiran followed by Welcome dance by Driti Kiran.  The inauguration of the anniversary began with lighting of traditional lamp by Purnima Manohar, Sunitha Jagannath, Bindiya Pradeep, Jyothi Kiran and Sneha Praveen.

 

Convener of Billawara Balaga and founder member Manohar Tonse welcomed the guests and audience and thanked them for attending the anniversary in large numbers.  The guests of  the day were called upon on the dais and honoured with flower bouquets namely  Jeethendra Suvarna (President – Billawas Dubai and Northern Emirates) and Daya Kirodian (Convenor-Billawara Balaga Dubai).

 

Several beautiful dances were presented by little kids choreographed by Pawan Poojari followed by group dance by Abu Dhabi Balaga Children directed by Ritesh and the participants were Muktika Manohar, Deeksha Dayanand and Hanna Sara followed by another dance by Nishka Pradeep, Sara, Muktika Manohar, Mahima Madhav, Nishika, Sanika, Lakshita, Isny and Macline Fernandes.

 

A wonderful Bharat Natyam was presented by Sarita Daya Kirodian and Prapti.

 

Satish Poojary, Honorary President of Sharjah Karnataka Sangha and Past Secretary of Billawas Dubai & NE accompanied by his wife Swarna was felicitated for his relentless and untiring service to the Billawa community and Kannadigas as well. Thereafter, Madhav Gundibail with his wife was honored for his humble and continuous support to Billawara Balaga since past few years as Main sponsor.

 

Other Main sponsors of the event invited on the dais and honored was Abu Khalid of Al Boshia followed by Satish venkatraman of Chilly Willy and Ashok Anchan.

 

 

 Loads of cultural events were presented thereafter and entertained the audience throughout the event.  A few humorous skits were presented namely Ammeregu Jwara, Vijay Clinic, Toys Show, Dead Body participated by Pradeep Kirodian, Ritesh Melwyn, Neeladhar, Ida, Wilfred, Gypson, Devdas. Directed by Pradeep followed by Rasamanjari by  Imtiyaz, Melwyn, Ida Melwyn , Ashok Anchan.

 

To entertain the kids, a wonderful magic show was presented by a well known magician Mr. Nasir.

 

A super body building show was presented by Body Builder Chetan.

 

A sumptuous buffet was arranged for all those attended the anniversary celebration.  The little kids who participated in dances were given away with gifts.  Vote of thanks was proposed by Manohar Tonse. Committee members who supported the whole event under advise of Kishore Kotian were Pradeep Kirodian, Suresh Salian, Nanda Poojari, Praveen Bolur, Dayanand Bangera, Suresh Amin, Neeladhar, Nitin Kumar, Kutty Poojari Manohar Tonse, & Shankar Amin.

 

Finally grand raffle draw was held and the prizes were given away to the winners.
