Moodubelle: Sixty-Seven youths receive the Sacrament of Confirmation

Moodubelle, 4 July 2010: Rev. Fr. Baptist Menezes, Episcopal Vicar of Udupi District administered the Holy Sacrament of Confirmation to Sixty seven young boys and girls, especially studying in the PUC classes on Sunday, 4th July 2010 during the 10 am Mass. 

Prior to the Mass, Rev. Fr. Baptist Menezes took a review of the catechism of the confirmation candidates and emphasised the fact that they would become the responsible members of the Catholic Church and  citizens of the country.

The solemn Confirmation Mass was concelebrated by Rev. Fr. Baptist Menezes along with  Fr. Joswey Fernandes, Fr. Lancy Saldanha and guest priests- Fr. Maxim Pinto (Cap) and Fr. Vijay Rebello of Kanajar parish and Fr. James Quadros of Kinnigoli parish both serving as missionaries in Jamshedpur Diocese.

Following the homily, Rev. Fr. Baptist Menezes administered the Holy Sacrament of Confirmation to each of the 67 candidates. The candidates have been preparing themselves under the guidance of Fr. Joswey Fernandes for quite time for receiving the sacrament of Confirmation. It was a matter of great joy to these 67  youth, their parents as well as the entire parish community that during the Centenary Year of the foundation of the parish, such a large number of youth have received the Sacrament of Confirmation.
