Newly elected Panchayat members from Edmeru felicitated by Jyothi Mahila Mandal

Moodubelle, 02 June 2010: The Jyothi Mahila Mandal of Edmeru organised a feleicitation function to honour the three elected members to the Belle Grama Panchayat from the Edmeru Ward at the Jyothi Mahila Mandal Sabhagraha on Tuesday, 1st June 2010 at 11.30 am. Mrs. Helen D’Souza, President of the Jyothi Mahila Mandal presided over the programme. Mr. Vivekananda shetty, Headmaster of Edmeru Higher Primary School was the chief guest.

The three members who were recently elected from the Edmeru Ward to the Belle Grama Panchayat: Mrs. Jacintha Aranha, Mr. Vikas Shetty and Mr. Shivram Salian were honoured by Mrs. Helen D’Souza by presenting them flowers. Mrs. Jacintha Aranha has been elected for the fifth time to the Belle Grama Panchayat, Mr. Vikas Shetty for the second time and Mr. Shivram Salian for the first time. 

Replying to the felicitation, all the three newly elected members promised the gathering that they would continue working for the betterment of the people of Edmeru and will see to it that the developmental work in the area such as roads and  other felicities would be completed in the near future. Mrs. Jacintha Aranha and  Mr. Vikas Shetty promised the Jyothi Mahila Mandal that they will use their good office to provide electricity and fans to the Jyothi Mahila Mandal office and hall.

Mrs. Helen D’Souza, President of the Jyothi Mahila Mandal welcomed the guests, Miss Sumangala Acharya, Secretary, proposed the vote of thanks and Mrs. Shilpa Nayak, the Treasurer compeered the programme.
