Udupi: Fifth Day of the Ganesh Chaturthi - 2012

Udupi, 23 Sept 2012: The immersion of the idol of Shri Ganesha of Udupi Paryava Sri Krishna Mutt was taken place on today @ 16:00 hours (IST) followed by grand procession.
The Idol taken from Temple with all traditional and Cultural troops welcome. Swamiji of Paryaya Sri Sode Mutt was present throughout the programme with the officials of the temple. All the devotees from various places, diffrent caste and creed present at the function. By the time of immersion of the Shri Ganesha idol, entire crowd prayed and saying
“GANPATI BAPPA MORYA PUDHCHYA VARSHI LAVKAR YA”
The center attraction of entire programme was the traditional dance of South Canara "HULI VESHA". Some of the Devotees who attended the programme got inspired by the same dance and joined steps with them. Even some age old personnel and kids too found in such inspired troops.

The creativity presented at Udupi Sri Laxmi Venkatesh Temple in Ganesh Idol worship is mind blowing. Day by day large number of crowd is visiting the temple just to see the event. The police force of Udupi District joined hands with temple authorities in administering the large crowd.
One devotee of the temple Mr. K Laxminarayana Shenoy of M/s DEEPAK STORES, Udupi said, " I didn’t seen such an large number of devotees attending in the event of Ganesh Festival. It’s happened only in this time due to creative out look presented by youth of GSB’s of Udupi."
The creative outlook presented was:- Fifteen (15) Ganesh Idol was placed in the Stage. In the background the historic episode of KANAKADASA and Udupi Sri Krishna turning was continuously played with original music of "BAGILANU TEREDU.........". Really one must see it to feel it. Tomorrow is the last day. Do visit before afternoon to witness the same.
