Moodubelle: Large number of Parishioners greet Fr. Joswey Fernandes on his birthday

Moodubelle, 01 Sep 2012: Parishioners expressed their  respect, affection and greetings to Rev. Fr. Joswey Fernandes on the occasion of his birthday on September 1, 2012 after the morning Novena Mass. In spite of the rains, the church was full to capacity as it happened to be the third day of the Novena. School children and college students and adults as well had come with flowers to offer  to both Child Mary and the Parish Priest.

 

 

Rev. Fr. Joswey Fernandes offered the thanksgiving Mass and following the mass there was a brief felicitation programme. To mark his birthday celebration, Rev. Fr. Joswwey Fernandes cut the birthday cake. On behalf of the parishioners, Alphonse K. Alva, Vice President of the Parish Pastoral Council  delivered the felicitation speech and offered flower bouquet to Rev. Fr. Joswey Fernandes. Fr. Paul Sequeira and Fr. Lancy Saldanha also greeted Fr. Joswey with flower bouquets. 

 

In his message, Rev. Fr. Joswey Fernandes  thanked everyone for their  greetings  and good wishes.

 

Mrs. Jacinta Aranha, Secretary proposed the vote of thanks and Fr. Lancy Saldanha compeered the programme. Thereafter, parishioners individually lined up to greet and offer flowers to the parish priest.
