Kuwait, 18 May 2012: A special ‘Mango Festival’ is being held exclusively at the Géant Easy Supermarket in Jleeb Al Shuyoukh from Thursday, May 17th. The week-long festival features over 25 varieties of delicious mangoes from all over India and includes such mouth-watering names like Alphonso, Totapuri, Badami, Malgoa, Neelam and Sinduram.

The aroma of scrumptious ripe mangoes pervades the Souk Jleeb outlet of Géant Easy, where the king of Indian fruits is displayed in its entire regal splendor. Mangoes account for roughly half of all tropical fruits produced around the world and the fruit is highly valued for its many nutritional benefits. Mangoes are rightfully one of the most favorite fruits around the world and to understand its universal appeal one only needs to peel it, or not peel it, and feel the texture, scent and succulence, before taking a bite.

The Mango Festival is an occasion to celebrate the rich variety of mangoes from across India, and an ideal opportunity to taste the distinctiveness of individual mango types. Mangoes are not only as distinct as the regions where they are grown, their unique flavor and taste also depends on the season and period of growth when they are harvested.

Satiate your mania for mangoes at this special mango festival and learn to tell apart between Emmami, Rumaniya and Lalbag, while viewing the beauty of the five-hued Panchavarnam. Find out how Thekampoo differs from Gudayath, and why Jyothi, Chinthamani and Mallika are more than just names. The Mango Festival is a great chance to taste the flavorful, fiber-less, succulent, stringy, firm, pulpy and other soul-feeding varieties on display.

The immense popularity of the fruit, its seasonal availability and its demand from both expatriates and Kuwaitis has prompted us to hold this remarkable Mango Festival, said Remesh T.A. Country Head of Géant Easy.
