Mumbai: Palm Sunday Celebration at Mira Road

Mumbai, 01 April 2012: Sunday 1st April was celebrated as Palm Sunday in St. Joseph’s Church,Mira Road by remembering passion of Jusus Christ with devotion. After the 7 am Konkani Mass all Congregation gathered in the Church ground, carrying the SCC community banners.

 

Fr. Dominic, Parish priest along with other priests blessed the palm and distributed to the people who carried the palms singing hymns and reciting prayers in procession with in Mira road area to commemorate Christ’s passion and death. All members of different  associations and cells helped people in the procession.

 

 

After the procession Solemn holy mass in English was offered in remembrance of the passion of Christ.

 

“ We have many problems  financial, family, job related, sickness etc, but all these are nothing in front of Jesus’ suffering, by remembering his passion and meditating his sufferings and death on the cross will give us strength to pray and to overcome these” said Fr. Dominic on the occasion.
