Shirva: House construction program for the poor – H.L. Ravi

Shirva, 12 December 2011: International Rotary Club has started to construct low cost housing for the economically poor section said Rotary District Governor H.L. Ravi and called upon the members to identify such eligible families. He visited Shirva Rotary Club on Saturday morning and was speaking in the function held in the evening at Shirva Bantakal Rotary Auditorium during the issuing of free computer to Shirva Kodu School.
Deputy Governor K.R. Patkar released the Club magazine “Mallika” and conveyed his wishes. Editor Shantharam Wagle coordinated. On this occasion “Valayavani” magazine was released by H.L. Ravi. Zonal Secretary Dr. Gururaj coordinated. Ajay Jayaram Prabhu who scored highest marks in S.S.L.C. exams was felicitated.
The program was presided over by Rotary President Ronald Sequeira, who welcomed the guests and the gathering. Secretary Leo Noronha read the report. Dr. Arun Hegde conducted introduction. Raghupathi Aythal introduced the donors of Rotary Foundation. Zonal Senani M.G. Nagendra was on the dias.
Land donor Dr. K.R. Venkatakrishna and Dr. N.S. Shetty who donated funds for the building construction have been introduced by Governor Ravi and honoured them. Herald Cutinho introduced the guests. Panduranga Kamath and Edwin Rodrigues compeered the program. Micheal Mathias proposed vote of thanks. Dheeraj Machado conducted prayers.
