Encounter Specialist Dayanayak appointed as ACP

Mumbai (Bantwal), May 28: Encounter specialist Karkala-based Mumbai Police officer Daya Nayak has now been promoted to the post of Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP).
Daya Nayak, a lioness of the underworld, was serving as a senior inspector in the Mumbai Crime Branch.
Nayak, who joined the police department in 1995, had arrested more than 85 criminals from the Mumbai underworld by 2004.
Through this, he played a significant role in making the people of Mumbai, especially the businessmen, breathe a sigh of relief. He served in the Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad for three years and took strict action against those involved in anti-social activities. He also curbed the drug case.
Daya Nayak, son of Banna Nayak and Radha Nayak, a couple from Yennehole near Karkala, completed his primary education in Yennehole. Later, in search of employment, he headed to Mumbai and joined a canteen there. He continued his studies with great difficulty and graduated from Mumbai. After that, Dayanayak started his career as a plumber supervisor and joined the police department in 1995 and is now an Assistant Commissioner of Police.Encounter Specialist Dayanayak appointed as ACP
