Moodubelle, March 30, 2025 – The ICYM Moodubelle unit organized a peaceful and spiritually uplifting Taize Prayer service at St. Lawrence Church Hall on Sunday at 6:30 PM. As part of their Lenten initiatives, the youth group aimed to bring the community together in prayer and reflection, creating a space for inner peace and devotion. The event saw an overwhelming response, with more than 250 devotees gathering to take part in this sacred evening of worship.
The Revelations Group, led by Dr. Suraj, guided the prayer with melodious singing and heartfelt worship. Their soothing chants set a meditative atmosphere, allowing attendees to disconnect from daily worries and focus on spiritual renewal. Taize Prayer, known for its simplicity and repetitive chants, provided a meaningful way for devotees to deepen their faith during this holy season of Lent.
A significant moment of the evening was when the cross was placed at the center, inviting devotees to kneel and offer personal prayers. This act of surrender and reflection was a powerful reminder of Christ’s journey and the call to grow in faith and love. Many found comfort and strength in this quiet, sacred moment.
The prayer concluded at 7:30 PM, after which ICYM Moodubelle extended their hospitality by serving refreshments to all attendees. This simple yet thoughtful gesture emphasized the spirit of togetherness, reinforcing the sense of community and shared faith.
Assistant Parish Priest Fr. Rikson Monteiro expressed his appreciation for ICYM Moodubelle’s efforts in organizing such a spiritually enriching event. He also thanked the Revelations Group for their inspiring contribution and presented them with a token of appreciation.
The Taize Prayer was a testament to the dedication of ICYM Moodubelle in fostering spiritual growth and unity, especially during Lent. With over 250 participants, the event highlighted the power of collective worship in strengthening faith and bringing the community closer together.
