Belman: Annual Celebrations of Self Help Associations

Belman, 12 September 2011: The united annual celebrations of Durgashree and Ohmkara Self Help Associations conducted by Shrikshethra Dharmastala Gramabivradi Yojane at the residence of Belman Venkataramana Prabhu. Inaugurating the celebration by lighting the lamp Sumathi Rao – Former member of Jilla Panchayath appreciated the self-sufficient lessons taught by the Shrikshethra Dharmastala Gramabivradi Yojane by uniting the women of the villages.

 

 
Chief Guest of the program Devdas Patkar – Teacher of Punarukere School in his speech said that, through these self-help associations the women have become aware on savings and also it has provided platform to exhibit their talents. It has also given them self-confidence, he said.
 
Zonal in charge Yashodara Salian briefed on the achievements of the projects of the kshethra. Belman Grama Panchayath President Mallika Rao gave introductory speech. The program was presided over by the former President of the Association Devendra Nayak. Association President Geetha Prabhu in her speech briefed on the achievements of the association and the figures of the savings.
 
The beneficiaries Rashmi, Baby and Sanjeeva Moolya expressed their experiences. Divya Prabhu welcomed the guests and the gathering. Vishalaxi compeered the program. Later Vishwalatha Prabhu and her team presented Bharathanatya and the Bajana team conducted cultural programs.
