BSKB Association (Gokula) centenary celebrations kick off-Efforts without God’s grace are not

The time-regulating, time-dependent God is our strong pillar of support. Therefore, hold God firmly in your heart and prepare for a pious life, said Udupi Sri Pejavara Adhokshaja Mathadhiesh Sri Vishwaprasanna Sripadamgalava. .
The BSKB Association (Gokula), which was established a century ago in the country’s financial capital, Brihanmumbai, and is currently in its 100th year, is celebrating its centenary with the slogan of ’Unity, Tradition, Culture’ and various religious, cultural, literary, social, educational and sports events throughout the year 2025. At the Saraswati Hall in Gokul, east of Sayan, Pejawar Vishwaprasannashri inaugurated the event and addressed the gathering of devotees with his blessings.
Culture and tradition are more important to humanity than material wealth. That is why the world is bowing down to Indian culture today. This is the greatest wealth given by our elders, culture. We must preserve, acquire, cultivate and hand it over to the next generation. This should be a great responsibility for all of us. Gokul, which was born as a temple, has today grown into a place of refuge for devotees of Maharashtra and is a national treasure. Pejavarashree also said that it is the greatness of the BSKB Association that it has grown to look up.
Renowned cardiologist Dr. Sadananda R. Shetty, priest Dr. M.J. Praveen Bhat Sayan were the guests of honor at the event, BSKB Association and Gopalakrishna Public Trust President Dr. Suresh S. Rao Kateel, BSKBA Vice Presidents Vaman Holla and Avinash Shastri, Secretary A.P.K. Pothi, Treasurer CA| Haridas Bhat, Joint Secretary Chitra Melmane and Y. Mohanraj, Joint Treasurer Ganesh Bhat graced the stage.
Dr. Suresh S.Rao Kateel introduced the event and announced that BSKB Association is celebrating its centenary year from 01st Jan to 31st Dec 2025. This is a significant milestone for us and a great honor for our community. It is a landmark of the rich history and tradition of Brahminism. The centenary celebration is a celebration of the beginning and achievements of BSKBA. It provides an opportunity to reflect on the journey, to share our heritage and to honor those who have played a key role in preserving and advancing it, he said.
In the morning, religious celebrations were started in the presence of Shri Gopalakrishna Devara in Gokul with Ganahoma, Gayatri Mantra Homa, Ashtakashara Mantra Homa, Navagraha Shanti Homa, and other pujadhis. Vedamurthy Giridhar Udupa and Nagaraj Aitala led the Ganahoma, while Dr. Suresh S. Rao Kateel and Vijayalakshmi Rao couple presided over the function. Vedamurthy Barke Santosh Bhat, Shashikant Bhat and Subrahmanya Bhat performed the Navagraha Homa, and Dr. Arun Rao and Shailini Rao couple presided over the ceremony. The Gayatri Homa was performed by Vedamurthy Daregudde Srinivas Bhat and Rama Vitthal Kalluraya, led by Nagaraj Rao and Lohita Rao, while the Purusha Sukta Homa was performed by Vedamurthy Vasudeva Bhat and Kumar Bhat, led by Jayadeep Rao’s family. Later, the devotees weighed the scales of Udupi Pejawar Pattadadevaru Sri Ramavitthal Devara with coins. Then, they offered flowers to the Pejawar Devas. Honored.
On this occasion, centenarians Smt. Satyabhama Bhat Parel and Ramesh Pattavardhan Pune were felicitated with shawls and robes and were felicitated with royal honours in the auditorium. Bhajans were performed by Gokul Bhajana Mandali, Vitthal Bhajana Mandali, Harikrishna Bhajana Mandali, Gopalakrishna Bhajana Mandali and Skanda Bhajana Mandali.
