Bantwala: Bantwala Municipal Council Chairman Vasu Poojary has said that the need for a well-equipped sports ground in the taluk should be made by all the people’s representatives to encourage sports talents in the taluk .
He was speaking while presiding over the Bantwala taluk level Karnataka Rajyotsava function held at Taluk Administration Hall, BC Road on Friday.
He said that all the people’s representatives should leave politics and bring good news about the stadium during the next Rajyotsava.
Bantwala MLA Rajesh Naik Ulippadiguttu participated in the flag hoisting ceremony.
Tahsildar in charge Arvind K.M. He hoisted the flag and gave a message that Kannada is our feeling with the language and it is not right to teach English medium except Kannada. Kannada should be accompanied by any medium of education. The stimulus of language should not be reduced.
Bantwala City Planning Authority Chairman Baby Kundar said that parents should not give property to their children but make their children their property and dedicate them to the society.
Ankita, a student of Vamadapadavu Government High School, made the keynote address and said that it is impossible to save Kannada by speaking any language.

T-shirts were distributed to the sports achievers of the taluk with the grant of Ta.P., teacher Jayaram gave details of the children.

Deputy Tahsildar Naveen Kumar Benjanapadavu conducted the programme. Initially, a procession was conducted by police department-students, followed by a cultural program by various school students.
