Seventeenth Annual General Meeting of Charkop Kannadigar Association

MUMBAI (RBI) Oct.31: The 17th Annual General Meeting of Charkop Kannadigar Balaga was held last Saturday (A.26) at Poisara Gymkhana Hall, Kandivali West here.
In the meeting presided over by Ravindra M Shetty, president of the association, Mrs. Shanta Yan Bhat, secretary of the women’s department, read the 16th annual report. The Annual Accounts were passed without opposition. For the next year 2024-2025, Sadashiva C. Pujari was appointed as internal auditor and Vilas Madvi & Company as external auditor. In place of the late MS Rao, his wife Smt. Bharti Rao was unanimously appointed as the third Vishwastha.
Ravindra M Shetty spoke about the contribution and encouragement of the elders of the group, the efforts of the executive committee and the sub-executive committee, the advice and suggestions of the donors and well-wishers, I have been working with the will to lead this group under my presidency. It needs your cooperation and blessings. He said that the contribution of the businessmen of the Southern Kannada district in preserving and developing the Indian culture, tradition, heritage and Kannada vibe is immense, so our organization needs everyone’s cooperation in the coming days.
The students who secured the highest marks in the last academic year were awarded Pratibha Puraskar and honorarium.
Vishwastha Jaya C Shetty, former president Krishna M Shetty, Malad Kannada Sangh Shankar D Pujari, Dr. NG Bhatt, Patemane Prakash Shetty, promoters Sashidhara Hegde etc. gave good suggestions for further development of the organization.
Shankar D. Pujari and Smt. Lata Vijaya Bangera, senior members of Ayeke Ada Charkop Kannadigar Balaga, were honored by a majority as members of the Executive Committee of Billavara Association Mumbai.
Bhaskar Sarapadi, the trustee of the association, said that the association has been giving importance to cultural and educational programs for the past many years. Now our team is entering the silver festival celebration. He spoke from his heart that it has been decided along with the executive committee to hold many different programs till next year’s Navratri Sharda Mahotsav.
Honorary Adviser Karunakara Kannarappadi, Poisara Gymkhana Vice President Karunakara Shetty, Treasurer Rajeevi R Kotyan, Women’s Department Working President Mrs. Padmavathi B Shetty, Cultural Committee Secretary Roopa Bhat, Co Treasurer Lata Bangera, Mohan Shetty, Avinash Shetty, Vani Y Samagonda, Rashmi Acharya, Yamuna. B Salian, Shubha Suvarna, and all the members of the Women’s Section and the President of the Anniversary Committee, Harish K Chewar, Veena Deepak Suvarna, Kaushik Sarapadi, and the members of the Sub-Committee were present and helped make the Mahasabha a success.
In the beginning, Mahasabha was started with Deepa Prajwalane and prayer to the Goddess Shri Sharada Mata of the group. General Secretary Prakash M. Kotyan welcomed the assembled members. Joint Secretary Mrs. Vani Yam Samagonda introduced the President to the meeting. Avinash Shetty, Vice President gave vote of thanks.
