Madiwal Samaj Bantwala observes "Kesardonji Day-24"

Bantwala: Bantwala taluk Madiwala Samaj Seva Sangh (R) Kandur, Madiwala Yuva Balaga and Bantwala Women’s Unit under its auspices Dakshina Kannada District Madiwala Sangh (R.I.) Mangalore with the cooperation of DK, Udupi and Madiwala Samaj Bandha of Kasaragod district held "Kesardonji Day-24"  on Sunday at the mud field near Prashar Kala Mandir on BC Road.

 

Shri Muktananda Swamiji of Srikarinje Kshetra inaugurated the program and blessed it. In his message the Swamiji said that Bantwala Madiwala has been at the forefront of progress and achievements in various fields. He further said that some caste organizations call themselves by adding "Vas" before their caste name. He said that the Madiwal Sangh should also think about adding ’Vas’ to call itself "Madiwalas" in the near future.The young generation of the society should do the job of saving our past traditions and saving the strong Tulu culture. He said that if we do such soil sports at least once a year for health and growth, our life will be like the inexhaustible link of soil and agriculture.

 

The program was presided over by K. Zilla Madiwal Association President B. N. Prakash. Businessmen Udaya Salian Ajjadi, Nallur, Dharmendra Ganeshpura, Sudhakar Putran, Praveen N. Bangera Hubli, Ramesh Bangera, contractor K. Vishwanath, lawyer Sadananda Salian, Puttur city council member Prem Kumar participated as guests. Various taluk presidents of the association Satish Kukkundur, Kavita Harish Walpadi, Sridhara Pilathabettu, Sadashiva Hosadurga, Lokesh Sulya, Sampath Kondana, Bantwala. Madiwala S.S. Honorary President of the Association N. K. Shiva Nandavara, President of Yuva Balaga.

Sandesh Koila, President of Women’s Unit Shobha Panjikallu and others were present on the stage.

 

On this occasion, community leaders like retired Subedar Junior Commissioner of Indian Army, Umesh Salian Hiriyadka, film actor Kantara fame Shanilguru Bantwala, basketball player Sanket S. were honored.
