Crowds of devotees flock to take Tirtha bath at Narahari and Karinja hills

Bantwala: Thousands of devotees arrived at Narhari and Karinja hills of the taluk and took Tirtha bath on the occasion of Aati Amavasya Tirtha bath.

 

Karinjeshwar Constituency; A large number of devotees thronged the Karinja Purana famous Mahatobhara Sri Karinjeshwara temple in Kavalamuduru village on the occasion of new moon on Sunday.

 

Thousands of devotees arrived and offered Tirtha bath in the huge lake called Gadatirtha here. Later he saw Sri Parvati-Parameshwara and received prasada.

 

On the occasion of Ati Amavasya, if the newlyweds offer a bagu, there is a belief that married life will be good and theertha bath will cure all diseases, so the newlyweds arrived in large numbers and took a holy bath and offered special pooja. Devotees had arrived from around 3 o’clock in the morning to have a darshan of the Lord. The devotees were given a decoction of leaves. Bhajan was performed by various groups. In the afternoon there was food offering.

 

Bantwal Tehsildar Archana Bhat, Bantwal DySP Vijayendra Prasad, Religious Council Member Mallika Pakkala and others participated in this event. Sri Kshetra Management Committee President Chandrasekhara Shetty Pulimajalu, committee members, villagers, Sibandi class and others were present. Bantwala rural and Punjalakatta police and Bantwala traffic police had taken action to ensure traffic order.

Narahari Sri Sadashiva Kshetra ;

Bantwala: Ati Amavasya special Tirtha Bathing was held at Narahari Sri Sadashiva Kshetra, a scenic spot of DK district. Devotees queued up to take Tirtha Bathe and receive God’s Prasad from early morning.

 

Narahari Parvata is a scenic spot in the lap of nature. This hill is very beautiful to look at and full of natural beauty. Green plants around. Silver clouds kissing the sky. In the middle of the blue sky, it is a great virtue to gaze upon the scene when those rays of Sun God directly touch the tower of Sadashiva on the hill. Lord Sadashiva at Narahari Mountain is fulfilling the wishes of the devotees by standing in the scenic realm of nature. The special thing here is that Vishnu and Shiva are standing together here.

 

It is thousand feet above the sea level, hence the name of this region is Narahari Parvata. Devotees say that on Aati Amavasya, Shravan Amavasya, all wishes will be fulfilled if you get up and see God in the Tirtha here. This is witnessed by thousands of devotees who come here. People believe that if a rope made of fiber is made in the form of an offering, all wishes will be fulfilled. It is believed that by offering baliwad here, all fears will be removed, Asthma disease will be cured by parsapran, and children’s wishes will be fulfilled by serving the cradle. The temple is situated in the midst of lush green surroundings on the Narahari Parvata Hill in Bantwala Taluk of Dakshina Kannada District.
