Fr Franklin D’Souza celebrates his Sacerdotal Silver Jubilee at his native Parish, Murkothpalke

Moodbidre, 09 Feb 2024: Rev. Fr Franklin D’Souza a priest of Diocese of Shimoga, celebrated his Sacerdotal Silver Jubilee on February 8th, 2024 at his native Parish St. Francis Xavier’s Church Saverapura, Murkothpalke, Diocese of Mangalore.

 

Thanksgiving Holy Eucharist began at 10am. Most Rev. Dr Francis Serrao SJ, Bishop of Diocese of Shimoga, Most Rev. Lawrence Mukkuzhy, Bishop of Belthangady, Most Rev. Leo Cornelio, Archbishop Emeritus of Archdiocese of Bhopal, Rev. Msgr. Alfred Mendonca, Vicar General of Diocese of Mysore, Rev. Fr Alwyn Dias, Provincial of Holy Trinity Province Karnataka were present for the thanksgiving Holy Eucharist. There were 40priests who thanked God together with Fr Franklin D’Souza.

 

Fr Santhosh Pereira, Rector of Apostolic house, Shivamogga was the Emcee for the Mass and Fr Pius D’Souza preached a meaningful homily. Blue Angels Choir from Mangalore led the choir.

 

After the Mass, a short Felicitation was organised by the family. Bishop Lawrence, Archbishop Emeritus Leo Cornelio felicitated both Fr Franklin D’Souza and his mother who completed 80 years of her life.

 

 

On behalf of Diocese of Shimoga Rev. Fr Stany D’Souza felicitated Fr Franklin D’Souza and sang a felicitatory song.

 

On behalf of the Parish, Fr Noel Mascarenhas CSSR Parish Priest felicitated and honoured Fr Franklin D’Souza together with his parish committee.

 

Bishop Francis Serrao SJ, Bishop of Diocese of Shimoga felicitated Fr Franklin D’Souza and honoured him.
