Udupi: Scouts and Guides Units inaugurated

Udupi, 18 August 2011: The Scouts and Guides who predicate the discipline, patience and unity, are needed for our country today much more than before, said Ramananda Bhat – President of Lions Club Udupi. He was speaking upon inaugurating the Scouts and Guides Units in Shantiniketana English Medium Higher Primary School, Alevoor. On this occasion he distributed the uniforms to the Scouts and Guides costing about rupees 25 lakhs from Lions Club and Lioness Club.

Varambally, Lioness President Kanakalakshmi, Shridhara Shenava from Lions District Cabinet, Guides District Commissioner Rajalakshmi Prabhakara Bhat, Alevoor Froup for Education President Alevoor Ganapathi Kini, Eshwara Chitpadi, Ravindranatha Shetty, Sganthi Kini, Alevoor Grama Panchayath President Harish Kini, Lioness Former President Nirupama Prasad Shetty were present on the occasion. Principal Rupa D. Kini welcomed the guests and gathering. Dinesh Kini gave introductory speech. Sudha Putraya compeered the program.
