Milagres College, Kallianpur, Udupi celebrated NSS Day - 2023

Udupi, 28 Sep 2023: NSS day was celebrated in the college today on Wednesday, 27th September, 2023 to begin a year of service for the year 2023. In a dashing program organised to mark the day Mr Premnath, professor, department of History, St Mary’s College, Shirva and NSS officer was the chief guest.

 

Speaking to students he said NSS teaches students to be different, enthusiastic, energetic and different human beings. Being human he said would be the highest virtues one can have in life. He suggested students to make all the opportunities that would the college offer in the days to come.

 

Dr Vincent Alva, the Principal of the college addressed the students and said NSS has such rich heritage of doing service for the society and filling the lives of self and others with respect to live a life that respects every life on this planet. He also urged students to be the most disciplined students and being disciplined amounts to being educated.

 

 

‘National Service Scheme’ of Milagres College (NSS), has a colourful and dedicated history, a voluntary program under which young students work towards creating a campus-community linkage by organising various awareness, social service and health improvement programmes both for themselves and general public in the locality throughout the year.

 

Dr Jayaram Shettigar, the IQAC coordinator of the college shared his experience with NSS and wished students a happy time in NSS by using all that is given to improve the quality of life.

 

Mrs Anupama Jogi, and Mr Ganesh Nayak, the NSS officers were present.
