Monti Fest celebrated with devotion at St. John’s Parish Pangla

Udupi, 10 Sep 2023: A large number of devotees along with colourful children with flowers gathered at Pangla Church Grotto to shower flowers to Infant Mary on Friday, 8th Sep 23 at 7am.

 

Rev. Fr. Dr. Anil Prakash Castelino, Parish Priest welcomed the gathering.

 

Rev. Fr. Henry D’Souza Assistant Parish Priest blessed the new corn and children showered the flowers with singing of traditional Marian Hymns.

 

The blessed corn was taken to the church in procession by Parish Council members where a grand Holy Mass was celebrated.

 

 

Rev. Fr. Vijay D’Souza, Administrator, St. John’s Academy/Asst. Parish priest, in his homily stressed upon importance of family values to be followed and live a life in the foot steps of Mother Mary.

 

Re. Fr. Anil wished all parishioners Blessed Monti Fest and also requested parishioners to live a friendly life with neighbors especially not to fight over small land issues. He also told the parishioners to update all their land documents so as to not to face unnecessary problems in future due to lack of legal documents.

 

The donors were honored with candles and Fr. Anil thanked all the donors for their generous contributions towards the Monti Fest celebrations.
