Udupi: Symbolic VANA-MAHOTSAVA, in Mount Rosary Church led by Catholic Sabha

Udupi, 03 Jul 2022: Indeed it’s a social responsibility to have a green and clean surrounding and its time and need of the hour to take proactive steps in order to protect flora and fauna, not only of the nation but the world as a whole. Catholic Sabha always at the forefront to educate and encourage its members and general public to make its genuine efforts to popularise planting of trees, medicinal plants and shrubs from the grass root level.
On Sunday, 3rd July, 2022, as a part of Vana-mahotsava, under the initiative of Catholic Sabha, Mount Rosary Unit, the Commission for Environment of the Church, organised a programme to highlight the significance of conservation of bio diversity and environment.
In a symbolic ceremony that was organised in the adjacent Convent, Parish Priest Rev Dr Roque DSouza led and planted few saplings along with the assistant parish Priest Rev Fr Rolwin Fernandes, Mr Santhosh Carnelio Coordinator all the 20 Commissions’ of the parish, Mother Superior of the Convent and her colleagues Mrs Rosy Quadros President of Catholic Sabah, present and former office bearers of CS - Unit, Mount Rosary Church, Convenor of the Environment Commission of the Parish, P. Archibald Furtado and members and others were also present.
