Udupi: Foundation Stone Laid for Alvas Infratech’s ‘Penta Paradise’ Project at Moodubelle

Udupi/M’Belle, 27 Feb 2022: Foundation stone for the 32 apartment building ‘Penta Paradise’, a dream project of Alvas Infratech was blessed an laid on Sunday, 27 February 2022 at a function held at 4 pm at the project site to the right side of Udupi-Karkala Main Road at Moodubelle near the petrol pump. 

 

The foundation stone was blessed by Fr. Cyril Lobo, Assistant Parish Priest of St. Lawrence Church, Moodubelle following a brief prayer service in Kannada and Konkani. Fr. Cyril Lobo blessed the entire project area by sprinkling holy water. 

 

The stage programme was presided over by A.G. Alva (George Alva) the proprietor of Alvas Infratech a native of Moodubelle and a well-known businessman in Bengalore. Other dignitaries on the dais included Lalaji Mendon-MLA of Kaup Constituency, Vinay Kumar Sorake-former MLA and Minister of Urban Development in the Karnataka Government, Sudhakar Poojary-President of Belle Grama Panchayat, Fr. Cyril Lobo, Lawrence Alva-one of the five partners of the project,  Giridhar H-Advocate of Bangalore High Court and Rajendra Mayya-Architect of the project. 

Following the welcome address by A.K. Alva-brother of A.G. Alva, Fr. Cyril Lobo in his benedictory message narrating one of the episodes from the life of St. Mother Teresa of Kolkata said that where the home is where the mother is. He further said that it is important for the people to have a home of their dreams and live a contented and happy life.

 

Vinay Kumar Sorake in his speech appreciated the bold step taken by A.G. Alva in bringing such a residential project to Moodubelle, his native village. He pointed out the developmental work that he promoted while he was the Minister of Urban Development in the Karnataka Government.  He wished well to ‘Penta Paradise’ and its promoter Alvas Infratech.

 

A.G. Alva narrated the background of the dream project and said that it took nearly three years to get the necessary permission and sanctions from the government agencies. He further said that his chief aim was to get RERA Approval which guarantees security of investment to the home-buyers.    

 

Lalaji Mendon released the brochure of ‘Penta Paradise’. In his message, Lalaji Mendon said that for the last two years the construction activity was at a standstill due to the scourge of Covid 19. However, now as the fear of Covid 19 has reduced once again the construction activity has resumed. He pointed out several developmental projects that have been undertaken in and around Moodubelle during his tenure as the MLA. 

 

In his address Sudhakar Poojary  said that Moodubelle will be on the map of two state highways-one from Udupi to Subramanya and the other from Athradi to Bajpe. He greatly appreciated the housing project of Alvas Infratech and wished them well.

 

Elias D’Souza, one of the partners in the project proposed the vote of thanks.

 

The other partners in the project include Mrs. Felcy Alva, A.K. Alva and Lawrence Alva.
