Qatar: ICC presents mesmerizing Natyanjali Dance Festival

Doha/Qatar, 02 Dec 2021: Indian Cultural Centre (ICC) has been conducting dance classes for various Indian classical forms like Mohiniyattam, Kuchipudi, Kathak, Manipuri, Bharatanatyam and Odissi regularly. ICC dance teacher Kalamandalam Matilda Solomon conducted them for different ages and levels of learning to students.
To showcase the talent, the ICC organizes the Natyanjali Dance Festival. This year 23rd Natyanjali was held at ICC Ashoka Hall, here on November 27.
The event was attended by the Indian community, parents and was streamed on Facebook and YouTube live. The Dance festival was conducted in line with Covid-19 Guidelines and 42 ICC students actively participated.
The evening began with the welcome speech by Mohan Kumar, head of In-house activities. MNoreen Tottan and Nikita Flujo anchored the dance festival.
The chief guest of the evening was Dr Sahil Kumar, second secretary for political and economic at the Embassy of India, Qatar, who addressed the gathering.
A presidential speech was delivered by Subramanya Hebbagelu, vice president ICC.
On behalf of ICC, Dr Sahil Kumar presented a memento in appreciation to dance teacher Matilda and certificates to all participating students.
The other dignitaries present were ICC president P N Baburajan, general secretary Krishna Kumar, other ICC governing council members, and guest of the evening was Anajan Ganguly, past ICC joint secretary.
Anish George Mathew, head of HR, premises and sports proposed a vote of thanks.
