Doha: Indian Cultural Centre volunteers to clean Faraiha Beach to mark Gandhi Jayanti

Doha/Qatar, 05 Oct 2021: On the 152nd birth anniversary of Father of Nation Mahatma Gandhi, the Indian Cultural Centre (ICC) organized a beach cleaning at Faraiha under Al Shamal Municipality which is nearly 120 kilometres from Doha.
Several Indian Community members represented various affiliated organizations and the ICC Youth wing actively participated. It was held at the leadership of ICC member P N Babu Rajan.
Dr Deepak Mittal, Ambassador of India to Qatar and ICC coordinating officers Xavier Dhanraj, other Embassy officers along with their families’ members actively participated in the process.
Dr Mittal appreciated and thanked the efforts of the Indian Community and Al Shamal Municipal authorities for active participation, support and is a tribute to Mahatma Gandhi the father of the nation on his 152nd birth anniversary. The beach cleaning activity is a great way of showing to Qatar and authorities, about our commitment as a responsible resident Indian Community in a way of giving back to the nation for what all are getting and staying in Qatar.
