Dubai, 24 February 2010: Dubai is a place where people from over 200 nationalities live in harmony and peace. The City is famous for its scenic and cultural beauty. This city hosts different events through out the year. One of the very attractive events that happen every year in Dubai is "Dubai Shopping Festival". The Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF), known in Arabic as ’Layali Dubai’, started in February 1996 by the Dubai government as purely a retail event aimed to promote trade in Dubai. Since then it has become an annual shopping, entertainment, and cultural extravaganza that continues to promote tourism in Dubai and attracts people from around the world each year.
The Dubai shopping festival event lasts for one month. Tourists from all over the world flock into the city to witness this event. DSF offers exciting activities to everyone in different parts of the city. Let me take you all to one of the very exciting events that happen during DSF known as Global Village.
Global Village is Dubai’s one of the most popular outdoor cultural entertainment and shopping venue. It usually starts almost a month before DSF and will go on for almost a month after DSF.
Global village hosts pavilions of more than 30 countries. Each pavilion depicts the cultural heritage and richness of that country. You can choose and buy different things that are available in that country without actually travelling there.
Every visitor can take away an element of different countries culture by enjoying the events that happen at the cultural stage.
Global village also offer host of exciting games and adventurous rides which can be enjoyed by the whole family.
Global village also has a food court and different restaurants, cafes scattered throughout the place which gives an opportunity to enjoy the delicacies from different parts of the world.
If you are one among those who wish to experience the cultural heritage of different countries around the world then Global Village is "The place" which you should be visiting.
