Qatar: Indian community bids adieu to longtime expat leader Divakar Poojary

Doha/Qatar, 09 Mar 2021: Indian Cultural Center (ICC), Indian Community Benevolence Forum (ICBF), Indian Business and Professionals Council (IBPC) organized the felicitation of Divakar Poojary, longtime Indian expat in Qatar, general secretary of all 3 abovementioned apex bodies at Ashoka Hall of ICC, here on Friday, March 5. All the three apex bodies affiliated to Indian Embassy in Qatar.
Poojary also served as subcommittee member of newly-formed Indian Sports Center (ISC). He was the former president of Tulu Koota Qatar and active community leader.
ICBF president Ziad Usman, IBPC president Azim Abbas, ICC past presidents Manikantan, Milan Arun and Girish Kumar, ICBF vice iresident Vinod Nair, ICC past vice president and general secretary Seenu Pillai have recalled cherished memories and shared their good experiences with Divakar Poojary. Two best attributes of his personality in any organizations he served as community leader are a smiling face and calmness.
ICC vice president Subramanya Hebbagilu chaired the event and conveyed the message from ICC president P N Babu Rajan. The event was compered by ICC general secretary Krishnakumar.
Apex body leaders presented memento to Divakar Poojary as a token of appreciation for his outstanding contribution to the Indian community.
