Shirva: Gold Bank Inaugurated

Shirva, 17 June 2011: S.K. Goldsmiths Industrial Cooperative Society Limited, popularly known as Gold Bank, opened its 13th branch in Shirva – Manchakal on Friday 17th June 2011. The program began at noon with the lighting of lamp by Shree Kalahastendra Saraswathi Swamy of Shrimath Anegundi Mahasansthana Saraswathi Peeta Katapadi, who also gave asheervachana. Inauguration was conducted by Vedamurthy B. Krishnamurthy Samaga of Shree Vasuki Ananthapadmanabha Temple Badagupete Udupi.
The program was presided over by B. M. Ravindra Acharya – President of SKGI Cooperative Society, Mangalore. K. Nayana of Sahakari Sangha inaugurated safe deposit room. K. Keshava Acharya Managing Trustee of Shri Kalikamba Vinayaka Temple Mangalore released deposit receipts. Vanitha Shenoy – President of Shirva Grama Panchayath, P. V. Raghavendra Acharya of Pushpa Jewellers Shirva and Gangadhar Acharya of Thirumala Jewellers Udupi were the chief guests of the program.
Speaking on the occasion Shri Kalahastendra Saraswathi Swamy said that, if we remain economically backward we cannot develop in anything. Money is not important in life, but without money nothing can be done, he said. This Society is popularly known as Gold Bank, but this is not only gold bank but it should grow as gold mine, he wished. This has made name for itself as the best Cooperative Bank in the State, I wish this to grow as the best Cooperative Bank in the country, he said. When there is cooperation and intelligence among ourselves then it can be utilized for the society, let this unit grow and serve the society, he said.
K. Umesh Acharya, K. S. Shekara Acharya, B. Suresh, members of the committee and staff were also present in the program. Baikadi Janardhana Acharya compeered the program. K. S. Shekhar Acharya welcomed the gathering. Yajneshwara Acharya proposed vote of thanks.
