Mudarangadi: Foundation stone laid for new Narayana Guru Mandir

Mudarangadi, 10 June 2011: By following the principles and idealism of Brahma Shree Narayana Guru, the development of society is possible. Guru’s teachings; one cast, one religion and one God is the guideline and this will work towards the development, said Shri Sathyananda Theertha Swameeji of Varkala Shivagiri Mutt, Kerala.
He was speaking upon laying foundation stone to the new Brahma Shree Narayana Guru Mandir which is being constructed with a cost of rupees 15 lakhs by the Billava Communities of Santhuru, Pilar, Yelluru, Kunjuru and Kolacheru Grama, under the leadership of Mudarangadi Billava Samaja Seva Sangha.
The program was presided over and inaugurated by National Billava Mahamandala President Jaya C. Suvarna. He spoke and said that the principles of Narayana Guru gives us the inspiration and helps us to involve ourselves in the development of the society and assured his continuous cooperation for the newly being constructed Billava Samaja Seva Sangha in Mudarangadi.
Udupi Jilla Panchayath President Katapadi Shankara Poojaty, Former Minister Vasantha Salian, Yellur Shri Vishwanatha Temple Managing Trustee Y. Prafulla Shetty, on behalf of the land donor Savithri and Gopinath, Katapadi Shri Vishwanatha Kshethra Management Committee President Ashok M. Suvarna and Mudarangadi St. Francis Xavier Church Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Louis D’Sa were the Chief Guests of the program.
For the new Mandir construction Vasantha Salyan, Bagga Poojary, Umesh Kotyan and Billava Parishad announced rupees 25 thousands each contribution and Prakash Palume 10 thousand and land donor announced sponsoring of the statue.
Umesh Kotyan welcomed the guests and the gathering. Secretary Hari H. gave introductory speech. Chief Secretary Rohan Kumar proposed vote of thanks. Rakesh Kunjuru compeered the program.
