Udupi, 21 Nov: Stickers and Poster of ‘Samudayotsava 2020’ Diocesan level rally that would be organized on 19 January 2020 at Mount Rosary, Kallianpur premises was released Catholic Sabha on Thursday, 21 November 2019. The stickers and poster of ‘Samudayotsava 2020’ were jointly released by eminent journalist Nagaraja Rao, businessmen Mohammad Moula and Gautam Navada and Spiritual Director of Catholic Sabha Udupi Pradesh Fr. Ferdinand Gonslaves.

 

Speaking on this occasion, Nagaraja Rao said that Christian community has left a lasting mark on Indian society by its selfless service. It is natural to seek cooperation of every community when  any major social events are organized. While everyone comes together in a spirit of cooperation such events can achieve success. 

 

Gautam Navada in his message said that through such rallies communities can be brought together and it would enable to strengthen the society in general.

 

Businessman Mohammad Moula in his address said that everyone belonging to different communities should help in constructing harmonious society rather than building walls separating each other.

 

Fr. Ferdinand Gonslalves in his message said that everyone in the society should try to build bridges and promote positive aim of achieving progress and harmony in the society.

 

 

It is expected that around 3000 Catholic members of the community would be participating in the Diocesan level ‘Samudayotsava 2020’ rally. Former Governor Mrs. Margaret Alva will be inaugurating the rally and Archbishop of Bengaluru Most Rev. Dr. Peter Machado will be present for the valedictory function. Bishop Gerald Isaac Lobo, Bishop of Udupi Diocese, Mrs. Jannet D’Souza, Senior Congress leader from Maharashtra and other leaders will be attending the rally.

 

Achievers in 6 fields and lifetime achievers will be felicitated during the rally.

 

Alwyn Quadros-President of Catholic Sabha, Udupi Pradesh, Secretary Santhosh Cornelio, convener of the rally Elroy Kiran Crasto, immediate past president Valerian Fernandes, former presidents Alphonse D’Costa and Walter Cyril Pinto were present during the programme.

 

Alwyn Quadros welcomed the gathering and secretary of ‘Samudayotsava 2020’ committee Mrs. Mary D’Souza proposed the vote of thanks.
