Mangaluru: Maha Kannadiga & DK journos donate Rs 1 lac worth aid to flood relief

Mangaluru, 12 Aug: Maharashtra Kannadiga Patrakartara Sangh and DK district working journalists Association jointly donated Rs 1 lac worth of mineral water and food grains to flood relief centre begun by district administration at KPT on August 12.

 

DK district working journalists Association president Srinivas Nayak Indaje handed over the stocks to joint director of industries and nodal officer Gokuldas Nayak on the occasion.

 

 

Speaking on the occasion, Gokuldas said that public response to flood victims is overwhelming with generous donations. He appreciated the journalists union for their flood relief aid that will be forwarded to relief centers across DK district.

 

Srinivas Nayak also assured to supply clothes, blankets and cooking utensils to flood relief center.

 

DNDRF officer Vijayakumar, probationary AC Santosh, Mangaluru smart city director Nagaraj, Chandru, DK district working journalists Association secretary Jitendra  Kundeshwar, R C Bhat and others were present.
