SMVITM, Bantakal holds Alumni Meet – 2019 at Bengaluru

Udupi, 29 May: Shri MadhwaVadiraja Institute of Technology and Management (SMVITM), Bantakal, near here organized Alumni Meet 2019 at Woodlands Hotel Pvt Ltd, Bengaluru on Sunday, May 26.
More than 150 alumni of SMVITM participated in this event. The event started with the invocation by Usha H, 2016 pass-out batch student of CSE department. Karthik V, Assistant Professor, department of mechanical engineering along with Shriraksha Acharya 2018 pass-out batch student of ECE department and Gagan Prabhu, 2016 pass-out batch student of CSE department conducted various games events for the alumni.
Prof Thirumaleshwara Bhat, principal of the institution explained the objective of organizing alumni meets regularly and role of alumni association in the institution building. He was also delighted to share that the National Accreditation and Assessment Council (NAAC) has awarded ‘A’ grade to SMVITM and congratulated all the alumni for their tremendous support in the accreditation process.
Shyamsundar, member of the Governing Council of SMVITM explained how alumni play an important role in developing brand value to the institution, in spite of being in a different geographical area.
Rathnakumar, secretary, Shri SodeVadiraja Mutt Education Trust, Udupi expressed his views that the alumni are the brand ambassadors of the institution. He solicited full support of the alumni members in building the high reputation to the institute. Vidya Bhat, training and placement officer, delivered the vote of thanks.
HoDs of various departments, faculty members were present during the event. Shareen Noronha, Assistant Professor, ECE department compered the formal programme.
Roshan Kotian, Assistant Professor, civil engineering department, and all the departmental alumni coordinators along with the institutional coordinator were responsible for the success of the programme. After the formal function, variety entertainment programme by the talented alumni also was a point of attraction.
