Udupi: SMVITM gets accredited with ‘A’ grade by NAAC

Udupi, 23 May: Shri MadhwaVadiraja Institute of Technology and Management (SMVITM), Bantakal, near here is a prominent engineering college of coastal Karnataka is being accredited with A grade by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). This ranking is being awarded based on the quality of education and also for the contribution to the overall development of the students of SMVITM.

 

Recently NAAC peer team visited SMVITM campus and did a detailed verification of the academic activities and also various supportive activities and peer team members complemented the commitment of the Management and college administration for the wonderful academic ambience set up in the campus. Based on the report of NAAC peer team, the institution is awarded with ‘A’ grade by NAAC which is the indication of the quality of education being imparted at SMVITM.

 

 

Out of 200+ engineering colleges of Karnataka only 21 colleges are accredited with grade A and above. It is a matter of pride that, SMVITM without having post graduate courses being offered in the institution, stands in 13th position among these colleges. It is worth noting that, among only three engineering colleges of coastal Karnataka who are accredited with ‘A’ grade, SMVITM is on the top with highest score. This is the real proof of quality of education and also all measures taken care by the institute for the overall development of the students.

 

Vishwavallabha Swami, the president of Sode Vadiraja Mutt Education Trust and all the members of management complemented all concerned for the commendable achievement.

 

On this joyful moment, as a goodwill gesture, the Management of SMVITM has decided to promote the aspirants of engineering education by means of providing seats under management quota in a subsidized fee to the achievers in academics or in sports and also the desiring students from financially backward classes (with suitable scholarship).
