Udupi: In a first, Pamboor parish Vincent De Paul Society wash feet of parish priest on Easter

Udupi, 26 Apr: The Society of Vincent De Paul unit of Holy Cross parish, Pamboor, near here on Easter Sunday, April 21, washed the feet of their energetic parish priest Fr Paul Rego, who has relentlessly strived for the welfare of parishioners since the last 6 years.

 

 

The Society of Vincent De Paul unit of Holy Cross parish that was established 34 years ago has been a succor of helpless and needy parishioners. The unit president Lucas D’Souza led the washing the feet of Fr Paul who is also their spiritual director along with other members to convey the message of humility in serving less-fortunate.

 

Lucas D’Souza highlighted Fr Paul’s contribution in the integral development of parish and fostering community bond with all parishioners. He is likely to get transfer in a month by the diocesan authorities.
