Udupi: Nirmalpadavu parishioners celebrate annual feast of Perpetual Succor with solemnity

Karkal, 14 Feb: The Annual Feast of Our Lady of Perpetual Succour Church, Nirmalpadau was celebrated with Grandeur and fervour on Wednesday February 13th, 2019 at 10:30 am. The church premise looked bright and colourful and was elegantly decorated with fresh flowers.

 

Prior to the solemn concelebrated Eucharistic Festal Mass  at 10:15 am, Rev. Fr. Vincent Lobo the Parish Priest distributed ’Candles of Honour’ to the donors and Benefactors who had contributed towards the expenses of this celebration (Murdom).

 

Thereafter at 10:30 am, Rev. Fr. Paul Rego, Parish Priest Pamboor celebrated the Solemn Festal Mass. Fr.  Joswey Fernandes, Vicar Forane, Karkala Deanery and Varado Priests, Pallotine fathers were the concelebrants in this sacred event.

 

 

In his homily Rev. Fr. Paul Rego spoke about ’Mary’ and Role of Mary and also he said Mary is the mother of Eucharist, Mary is the mother of the Church and Mary the mother of all believers.

 

As a symbol of gratitude towards the Almighty Fruits, Vegetables, hosts and wine were offered.

 

The Nirmal choir of our parish added solemnity and pomp to the feast mass with their melodious singing led by Rev Fr Vincent lobo, Parish Priest.

 

Rev. Fr. Vincent wished all the parishioners a happy feast of Perpetual Succour and thanked all the associations and each persons individually who helped in the successful conduct of the annual feast.

 

To add to the celebratory note before the Mass, Melodious musical Band added magnificence for the short procession of all the priests with meaningful hymns.

 

After the festal mass, the church premise was vibrant throughout, as they were greeting each other and sharing joy of festal celebrations. Many devotees of Perpetual Succour were litting candles to honour her.

 

The theme of the feast was : "Do Whatever he tells you" (John 2:5).
