Udupi/M’Belle: Francis Lobo retires after serving St. Lawrence High School for 35 years

Udupi/M’Belle, 07 Oct: The send off programme of Francis Lobo, the office staff of St. Lawrence Kannada Medium High School of St. Lawrence Composite PU College, Moodubelle was held on Saturday, 6 October 2018 in the St. Lawrence PU College Hall. Francis Lobo retired after serving the institution for 35 years.
The send off programme was presided over by Fr. Clement Mascarenhas, Correspondent of St. Lawrence Educational Institutions.
The chief guest of the function, J.B. Miranda, retired principal, speaking about Francis Lobo said that, Francis had been a sincere and hardworking member of the staff. He served the institution with full dedication and honesty. Though Francis had an opportunity to go abroad in search of employment, he stayed back to look after his family and served the institution for long 35 years and had become quite popular among the staff and the students.
In his message, Fr. Clement Mascarenhas appreciated the dedicated service of Francis Lobo to the institution and wished him good health and happy retirement.
On behalf of the students Gratian Sequeira and on behalf of the staff Valerian Crasta conveyed their best wishes to Francis Lobo. Former office staff member Charles Quadros also spoke on this occasion.
Maxim D’Sa, President of Old Students Association and Gilbert Sequeira, Vice President of PTA were present.
Principal of St. Lawrence PU College, Naveen Correa welcomed the gathering, Mrs. Sunitha Kamath read the citation, Edward Noronha proposed the vote of thanks and John Castelino compeered the programme.
