Mangaluru: Namma Gowri, movie on slain veteran journalist to screen in city on Aug 30

Mangaluru, 29 Aug 2018: Namma Gowri, movie on slain veteran journalist and human rights activist will be screened at Campus Career Academy, Al Rahba Plaza, here, on Thursday, August 30, at 4.00pm. It was held as part of Anti-Expression Week that is being organized by Gowri Lankesh Balaga across Karnataka from August 30 to September 5, stated Gowri Lankesh Balaga convener Ismat Fajir in a media communiqué.
Anti-Expression Week was observed to mark 3rd anniversary of slain veteran intellectual Dr M M Kalburgi and 1st anniversary of renowned journalist and human rights activist Gowri Lankesh, added Ismat.
The movie produced by Pedestrian Pictures depicts life of Gowri Lankesh, struggles and ideology, will be screened for the first time in Mangaluru.
The veteran writer and human right activist Suresh Bhat Bakrabail will moderate the seminar on Gowri Lankesh.
The progressive thinkers Professor Faniraj, Dr Vasudev Belle, Dalit leader Devdas will be chief guest of the occasion.
