Manama/Bahrain, 11 Dec 2017: ‘An association does not need to be perfect; it just needs to be united.’ The intention that was set up 7 years ago, in order to unite the Belleans in Bahrain with the motive ‘Strive for togetherness,’ under the umbrella of ‘Bellevision Bahrain’ has now stepped into eighth year. The unity within the members with active participation and support to each other during every occasion has made it possible to achieve this milestone. The much awaited event of the year - the 7th Annual day of Bellevision Bahrain was celebrated on Thursday, December 7 at Papilon party hall, here, with great enthusiasm and fanaticism. Members, supporters and well-wishers of Bellevision Bahrain were all present in great numbers at the event. The program started at 8.45pm with a warm welcome by skilled compere Rony Pinto followed by prayer dance from Sophie D’Souza and Shannel Mendonca.
A brief stage program was held. President Joel Paul D’sa once again welcomed everyone and addressed the gathering. He expressed his gratitude to all the supporters and well-wishers for being the backbone of the association and thanked everyone for their support. To share the success of fruitful completion of 7 years, a cake prepared by Naveen Mendonca was cut by the Excom members. Detailed Annual report was read by Secretary Rashmi Fernandes while the vote of thanks was proposed by Joint Secretary Veera Noronha.
The special attraction of the evening was the performance of live band ‘Mesmerizers;’ a newly-formed band on the island consisting of Gulf Voice of Bahrain participants. A mix of Konkani, Hindi, English and Kannada songs with Baila session kept the gathering mesmerized along with the melodious voices of our very own members Rony Fernandes and Preetham Aranha being a part of the band.
Bellevision Bahrain this year is specially blessed with arrival of new members joining the juniors club. It was a great pleasure to welcome these little ones and congratulate the parents. A small introduction with formal welcome was given to Nathan Darren D’Silva, Eliana Cecilia Alva, Angela Fernandes, Warren Mark Aranha, Ronel Phanuel Pinto and Darren Karl D’Souza.
The entertainment program consisted of fusion dances by our members’ children Reeve and Reis D’Souza, Delisha Fernandes, Ashel Castelino and a group performance by Alisha, Simone, Annora, Reeva, Erina and Nikitha. A hilarious, extremely funny super hit comedy; ‘Raja Ninage Marana’ was played by Arun Fernandes, Ivan D’Souza, and couple Richard and Pramila D’Souza.
Raffle draws were conducted at regular intervals by giving away 10 attractive prizes. Novelty dance gave an opportunity for 3 lucky couples to go home with wonderful gifts. Under Alfreeda Castelino’s initiative, the children were kept busy with drawing and coloring activity.
The entire event was amicably co-ordinated and managed by Rony Pinto and Nirmala Fernandes.
