Bellevision Muscat organizes annual get-together; form new Committee

Muscat/Sultanate of Oman, 02 Nov 2017: Bellevision Muscat organized annual get-together at NTI campus, Ghala, here, on Friday, October 20.
The event began sharp at 8.30pm with a prayer led by Reshma Rodrigues followed by Bible reading by Preethi D’Mello.
The election to form new Committee for 2017 to 2018 was held

Anita Danti (secretary)
Melita Alva (treasurer)
Lawrence Noronha (cultural and communication secretary)
Ignatius Celine Lobo (food-in-charge)
Loyal Aranha (spiritual secretary)
Denis (Moodubelle parish representative)
Mark and Reshma (Pamboor parish representative)
Philomena Mendonca (Kuntalnagar parish representative)
Then a quick photo-shoot of the new Committee and a family photo followed.
Edward Mendonca was the compere, with a brief introduction, honored Lawrence Noronha, Lawrence Alva and Edward Mendonca for being achievers in Sultanate of Oman as Belleans.
Laeel Alva played the guitar. Christina Danti and Risha Saldanha entertained the gather with their Bollywood dances.
For snacks chicken fry, sausages and salad with cold drinks was served. New members were Roshan Mendonca and Reena Saldanha was welcomed.
Simon D’Souza spoke about the tragic death of Raphael Master and a minute’s silence was observed for the repose of his soul.
Children enjoyed the innovative game of walking crossways blindfolded guided by their parents. Couple games were also were interesting.
Spot games were conducted by Roshwin Lobo and Brian D’Souza.
Homemade dinner of pork, idlis, chicken gravy, vegetable, pulav, pickle, salad sweet dish kheer was served to the gathering.
Dinner, snacks and sweet dish, were prepared by Ignatius Lobo and family, Philomena Mendonca and family, Anil D’Mello and family, Anita Danti and family.
Budding DJ of the event was Priyanka Mendonca and the photographer was Philomena Mendonca.
Tambola was played to conclude the event. Each family walked away with many gifts.
To conclude, the event, this time was very lively, homely and enjoyable. The organizing team did a marvelous job with their planning and meticulous delivery. The presence of a number of children; a very good sign indeed! The organizers hope more people from these parishes would join them for these get-togethers in pursuit of building a stronger community.
