Mangaluru: Simon Noronha (60), Laid to Rest on Wednesday 29th March

Mangaluru, 04 Apr 2017: Simon Noronha, born and brought up in Moodubelle who has been known as a successful entrepreneur in Dubai and generous philanthropist passed away at the age of 60 at Fr. Mullers Hospital, Mangalore on Saturday, 25 March 2017 after brief illness.

 

He is survived by wife Juliana Noronha, Sons Sanjoy/Prima & Joel Noronha, granddaughter Sophie Noronha. Simon is son of Late Joseph and Santhan Noronha, Brother of Late Rita/ Lazarus, Late Mary/Ashly, Lawrence/Precilla, Br. Philip, Late Wilma Noronha, brother in law of Jerome/Mercy Saldanha.

 

Simon Noronha was laid to rest on Wednesday 29th March at Bijai Church amid hundreds of mourners, family members, well wishers and friends, it was a full church.

 

 

Simon was a successful business man in printing technology with most modern machineries and prompt services. He gave employment to hundreds of people. He had supported scores of needy without any name or publicity. He had great respect for religious people and fellow human beings. He had generously helped in a big way for many church projects/Educational Institutions across India and Middle East.

 

He was well known University level Basketball player during his youth and college days. He always gave priority to family and kept family life ahead.

 

Simon was one of the founder members of Bellevision UAE and had been its well wisher and strong supporter. He had been known for his philanthropic work and had contributed generously during the construction of St. Lawrence Church and St. Lawrence English Medium High School in Moodubelle. He had the honor of laying the foundation stone of St. Lawrence English Medium School.

It seemed like yesterday, we played the game of Basket-ball together against each other (in college teams). In loosing a friend, colleague and a teammate, it simply reminds me that life is so uncertain! Simon, your goodness goodwill be a greatly rewarded in heaven! May God Almighty grant you eternal rest. I m sure in Jesus s company, you ll pray for all us too.
