St. Lawrence Church, Moodubelle receives National Youth Convention Cross

Udupi, 06 Dec 2016: The National Youth Convention Cross which has been on its holy journey from one parish to the other was received by St. Lawrence Church, Moodubelle on Sunday, 4 December 2016 at 7 am from Diocesan Minor Seminary at Kattingeri which had received the Cross on the previous day evening. The Cross was brought to the church through the main gate. The bike rally by the youth preceded the journey of the Cross.

 

 

 

Following the regular Sunday Mass at 7.30 am, the adoration of the Cross was conducted by the Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Clement Mascarenhas.

 

Later in the morning from 09.00 am to 10.00 am the adoration was conducted led by  Rev. Fr. Lawrence Cutinha, Assistant Parish priest. Different churches from the Udupi Deanery participated in the adoration of the Cross as per the schedule fixed in advance. 10.00 am to 1.00 pm ICYM Kuntalnagar conducted Adoration. In the afternoon from 01.00 pm to 02.00 pm YCS Moodubelle conducted Adoration. 02.00 pm to 03.00 pm ICYM  and YCS Katapady conducted Adoration. 03.00 pm to 05.00 pm ICYM Moodubelle conducted Bhajans and  Prayers.

 

In the evening, Rev. Fr. Clement Mascarenhas conducted the final prayers and handed over the National Youth Convention Cross to Rev. Fr. Royston Fernandes, Assistant Parish Priest of Mother of Sorrows Church, Udupi.
