Annual Family Sports meet- Organized by Bellevision Bahrain

Manama-Bahrain, 30 Oct 2016: There was an excitement in the air as Bellevision family once again came together at the Baba City - Ground on 28th October 2016 to participate in their annual family sports meet.

 

The event started at 08:00 AM with the registration counter which was handled by Pramila Martis & Hilda D’sa and alongside the sumptuous breakfast was served to all members. By 9:00 AM, the sports day began with the founder President Joel Dsa’s welcome and meaningful prayer by Ronald Alva.

 

President Alfreeda Castelino in her presidential address explained the importance of sports day as it promotes health and well-being and also helps to build an understanding and unity among ourselves. She thanked all the members for their support.

 

The groups were divided into four teams – Red, Blue, White and Yellow and was well handled by our active and talented Sports Secretary Judith Mendonca and Joel D’sa.  The oath taking was conducted by Joel D’Sa and all the members solemnly pledged to uphold the spirit of true sportsmanship. He also gave few safety rules and guidelines. First Aid assistance was provided by President Alfreeda Castelino, she ensured that all injuries requiring first aid were treated.  Wilson Dsouza & Ronald Fernandes captured the beautiful moments of the sports day.

 

 

Most of the games were played team-wise. For children in the age group of 3 years – 11 years individual and group games were conducted such as collecting balls, Hit the wicket, Basket Ball, Balloon bursting  relay, Lemon and Spoon,  Cricket ball throw etc. The team games were dog and the bone, dodge ball and Cycle wheel (bandi) relay, Mini Football which was the best and most loved game of the day.

 

Chocolates were distributed to all children which were sponsored by Arun Castelino and Joel D’sa. The delicious breakfast and lunch was arranged from Alyasi Restaurant and was coordinated by Naveen Mendonca. The watermelon was served to all which was sponsored by Nishanth Dsouza and Arun Fernandes. The Juice for kids was sponsored by Sharon Dsouza. To quench the thirst the water was arranged by Ronald Alva and Assorted soft drinks were provided by Walter /Roshan Dsouza. The delicious homemade cake was distributed to all gathered.

 

Team Red scored the highest points, followed by team White. Individual winners in children category age group 3 years - 11 years were presented with medals and team Red was presented with rolling shield. Vote of Thanks was proposed by Joel D’sa. He thanked all those who supported and put efforts to make this event a successful and memorable one and specially thanked our Talented Sports Secretary Judith Mendonca who herself is a sports idol to all.

 

The whole day was amazingly harmonized with members cheering for each other. Bellevision members once again proved their caliber and expertise in executing the event.  The coordination, commitment and enthusiasm shown by every member was noteworthy.
