Mangaluru: Sumell, Singing Club of Mandd Sobhann to celebrate Music Day on Oct 2

Mangaluru, 29 Sep 2016: Sumell – the Singing Club of Mandd Sobhann, here will be celebrating International Music Day during 178th Monthly Theater at Kalaangann, Makale, Shaktinagar, here on Sunday, October 2.

 

 

Sumell will be presenting 4 Konkani songs of various dialects – a Goan Manddo, a GSB song, a Siddi song and a Mangalorean song. Ranni Kogull - Jacqueline Fernandes will be singing a Latin, Spanish, English, a Sri Lankan and a Tamil song.  Tagore Das will be singing a Hindi song and North Eastern singers will be presenting a Naga song.

 

A Siddi group from Uttara Kannada and a GSB group of singers will also be a part of the celebrations. The singers will be backed by music by – Sanjay Rodrigues, Sanjeeth Rodrigues, Roshan Crasta, Jerome Coelho, Alron Rodrigues and Bhavana Shenoy.

 

On this occasion, Sumell will be honoring Gladys Silver, for her outstanding service in the field of music, as a Music Teacher.
