SDM De-addiction and Research Centre opens at Ujire

Beltangady, 11 Jun 2016: Jagruthi Sowdha and SDM De-addiction and Research Centre, for prevention of addiction to alcohol and drug abuse, that was set up at a cost of Rs 2 crore at Ujire, here was inaugurated on Saturday June 11.

 

Jana Jagruthi Vedike founder president K Vasant Salian inaugurated Jagruthi Sowdha here on Saturday morning.

 

Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala Dharmadhikari D Veerendra Heggade in his presidential address said that it’s a noble deed to help the alcohol addict to shun the craving and lead normal life.  Jana Jagruthi Vedike will continue its mission to transform the lives of addicts, said Heggade.

 

 

Karnataka state alcohol addiction control Board chairman M R Rangashamayya was present.

 

Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala Rural Development Project (SKDRDP) CEO Dr L H Manjunath, Akhila Karnataka Jana Jagruthi Vedike state president Satish Honnavalli, D Surendra Kumar, D Harshendra Kumar, ZP member Soumyalata, TP member Sudhakar B L, Laila gram panchayat president Veena Rao were present at the dais.

 

Jana Jagruthi Vedike secretary Vivek V Pais welcomed the gathering.  SDM Medical Trust secretary Shishupala Poovani proposed vote of thanks.  SKDRDP project officer Timmayya Naik compered the programme.
