Mumbai: Ryanite Gauruv Pandey wins honors for schools & country at Int’l KENKEK Competition

Mumbai, 05 Jun 2015: Ryanite Gaurav Pandey wins honors for schools and country at the International KENKEK competition at New York, USA by coming First.

 

• Was one of Top 5 in the India Round of the First International KENKEN Competition
• Won against the best in the World Round at Pace University, New York, USA

 

Ryan International Group of Institutions, India’s largest K12 focused group with over 128 institutes had some cheerful news from USA when Gaurav Pandey, of Ryan International School, Noida was declared the WINNER at the First International KENKEN Championships held at Pace University, New York, USA.

 

 

 

Gaurav’s journey to the finals was an arduous one where he first had to compete at the school level and then the city level and eventually at the national level. Students from across the country took part in this and there were over 20,000 participants from India. There were 5 finalists from India who were flown to USA for the event to compete against the winners from other countries.

 

KENKEN is one of the most popular mathematical puzzles in the world and was developed by Professor Tetsuyo Miyamoto of Japan for improving Math skills of students. It is now a worldwide phenomenon with syndicated puzzles being published in journals across the globe. The event was organized in India by Grey Sim.

 

Professor Miyamoto, who was present for the event at New York, marveled at the Math skills of students from India and congratulated Gaurav for winning the first edition of the event.
