Dubai: SMKC to organize Family Fun Day - 2015 at Zabeel Park on Jan 30

Dubai, 16 Jan 2015: St Mary’s Konkan Community (SMKC) will be organizing Family Fun Day at Zabeel Park, gate number 1, here on Friday January 30 from 9.00am to 6.00pm.
Cool winter winds and pleasant sunshine is what is needed for a Day out together with family and friends during the start of New Year 2015. This is an occasion when SMKC ventures to gather the community people under one umbrella and have a bashful and memorable Friday on January 30.
SMKC Dubai is known for its philanthropy for the past over 13 years in Mangalore and Uttara Karnataka and Dakshina Kannada districts, since its inception in October 2011, whether it is for financial aid for students belonging to low income families from surrounding villages for higher education in engineering or medicine, nursing and for charity institutions.

All surplus funds generated from this event will be disbursed for needy charity institutions and to fundraise for SMKC DXB Education Trust established at Bishop’s House and Medical Trust at St Anne’s Friary, Mangalore. Around 38 students have passed out from St Joseph Engineering College with financial aid @ Rs 2 lac each student and 2 doctors from Father Muller Medical College, Mangaluru in addition to free financial contribution for nursing, B Ed and other studies. The Education Trust Fund is still active and rolling out aid and benefits to low income families back home.
SMKC DXB Family Fun Day - 2015 is a day organized by St Mary’s Konkan Community (SMKC) Dubai that is filled with thrill and gifts galore. Competitive sports for all ages starting from tiny toddlers to senior citizens, team competitions, spot prizes, tambola, photo shoot, jumble sale, scintillating hollywood / bollywood / baila musicc and dances are the chalked out programs of the day that will keep everyone running.
Over 400 people are expected to be present during SMKC Family Fun Day - 2015. Competitive sports for all ages starting from tiny toddlers to senior citizens, team competitions, spot prizes, tambola, scintillating music and dance are the chalked out programs of the day that will keep everyone running around on the lush green grass of Zabeel Park. Fancy dress competition for children between 2 - 16 years is planned after lunch along with the Carnival / parade in style with piping Konkani folk music for adults and teenagers around the park.
