United Christian Association Udupi – Kundapur Northern Zone Inaugurated

Udupi/Sastan, 22 November 2010: The United Christian Association Udupi – Kundapur Northern Zone was inaugurated by Rtd High Court Justice M. F. Saldanha in a function held at Chethana High School Hall near here, on Sunday November 21.
Speaking on the occasion, Justice Saldanha said that the organizations need to fight for justice when the constitutional right of a human being is under threat. Every human being in the society has the right to live, and also conveyed best wishes to the New Zone.
Udupi Zilla Panchayath Member Gerald Fernandes Presided over the function.
Udupi Taluk panchayath Memebr Veronica Corenelio realesed hand book. Social Servicer and Padukone panchayth member Mr. Philip D’Silva distributed the Scholarships to Merit Students.
Association Northern Zone Representative Mr. Sylvester D’souza said in his introductory Speech that the association was formed to unite society brethren and teach them co-existence. Association will try to help the needy, sufferers due to injustice and also work for the upliftment of the poor.
Mourice D’sa Konkani Journalist said that the Association is a laity organization which should stick to its set objectives to emerge as a reckoning force. He wished all success to Northern Region.
United Chrisian Associaiton President Alban Menezes handed over UCA logo to New Udupi – Kundapur Zonal Represetive Sylvester D’Souza. and wished all success to new zone.
UCA vice president Joe Rego, Secretary Vincent D’Cunha, Joint Secretary Marceline Rasquinha, Treasurer Ignetius D’Souza, Directors Jeevan Vas, Charles D’Souza, Naveen Fernandes, Dony Bantwal, Berty F. Lobo, Pius Monthiro, Melwiy D’Souza, Ivan Vas were present on Dias.
United Christian Association President Alban Menezes welcomed the gathering James Olivera proposed the vote of thanks. Cloud Lewis and Roshani Olivera compered the programme.
